2-12. Taking Out the Cassette in Tape Slacking

2-12. Taking Out the Cassette in Tape

Slacking

When the tape is slacked in this unit, follow the steps

below to take out the cassette tape.

n

Being careful not to damage the tape, take out the cassette

tape with care.

1.

Turn off the power.

2.

Remove the upper lid. (Refer to Section 2-3-1.)

3.

Remove the plate MD assembly.

(Refer to Section 2-4.)

4.

Rotate the M gear of the threading motor block in the

direction of the arrow with the fingers by about a half

turn to slack off the tape.

5.

Pull the ME lever toward the front panel side to take

up the tape inside the cassette.

6.

To wind up the tape, repeat steps 4 and 5.

7.

Turn the lower control panel upward.

(Operation side up).

8.

Turn the wheel of the cassette compartment motor

clockwise as shown in the figure until the cassette is

completely ejected.
