It has to be pressed gently by hand against the spot that has to be
examined. In order to achieve reproducible results, the contact pressure
and direction must be kept constant. The probe can be operated in a
temperature range of -20 °C … +60 °C. Short-term measurements (ca.
1 minute) at hot surfaces are possible until 550 °C.
Notice:
For optimising the test procedure the mixer frequency of the
device can be diversified (section 4.7) between 20 and 60 kHz in 2 kHz
increments. Changing the mixer frequency does not effect the shown
test values directly. In order to ensure reproducibility, values that have
to be compared must be recorded with identical mixer frequencies.
CAUTION!
When using probe L52, observe item
3 of the general safety
precautions.

Probe for continuous testing, abrasion and cavitation
L54
Probe L54 is used for the detection of ultrasound in solid objects and
rotating machinery. For continuous testing the probe is fixed to the test
object.
