9. Troubleshooting
Dear user,
in spite of the care we took designing and manufacturing your recorder, certain problems can
appear at least.
We indicate you here two procedure allowing to, to our knowledge, to put right nearly all break
downs.
In the case where you should contact us, give us absolutely the serial number of your recorder,
the installed software version number and the version number of the time code software if it is
present. We dispose of an up-to-date data base including the hardware configuration of the
manufactured equipment, and these informations can help saving time. You can easily find them
on your recorder.
Software Reset
If your Stelladat II shows any sign of malfunctioning, carry out a software reset. You'll resume to
the default configuration corresponding to the installed software version.
To reset
:
press simultaneously [ESC], [MON] and the joystick
(down).
A reset clears your own configuration and your User Settings!
Powering Software Reset
If you can't turn on your Stelladat II at all, carry out the following operations in order :
If you aren't sure that you can execute them out with the necessary precision,
contact your distributor or SONOSAX.
•
Disconnect the external power supply.
•
Remove the battery from its holder.
•
Open the bottom plate of Stelladat II: Using a 2 mm hex wrench, unscrew the four feet and
the two screws.
•
WARNING: An electrostatic discharge can destroy some electronic circuits. Avoid touching
the circuits, and before the next stage, touch the chassis of Stelladat II so as to discharge
yourself.
•
Carefully remove the 4 track board # 072101, by pulling it upwards.
