12 Maintenance and service

Have the following items inspected once per year by operator and suitable specialist personnel:

Integrity of system and piping
Safety valve
Connection cables
Water quality
Visual inspection
Mounting on wall

Only engage a specialist technician for maintenance.

Perform maintenance once per year.

Exchanging primary pump in the solar circuit

Risk of injury and damage to stratified charging module from steam hammer!
High temperatures may cause steam formation.

Exchange primary pump only when system is cool (e.g. evenings, mornings or in overcast wea-
ther).

Risk of injury and property damage from interventions in electrical wiring!

Only have primary pump installed by a specialist technician.

Damage to pumps from excess pressure!

Shut-off valve with seal against inadvertent closure.
X
Only allow them to be closed by a specialist technician.
X
Disconnect styring for the stratified charging module from mains and power down the system.
X
Close Tacosetter bypass (optional).
X
Drain remaining fluid via the discharge taps and capture in suitable container.
X
Exchange primary pump.
X
Observe terminal diagram of the styring and only have primary pump connected electrically by a
specialist technician.
