3. Main Menu Selections
NOTICE!
Accessing the Main Menu Screen from the Patient Monitoring or Waveform Screens temporarily
suspends patient monitoring. Monitoring resumes automatically upon exiting the Main Menu.
Entering the
Main Menu
(Gear Icon
),
presents a list of options from which to select (see Figure G-3):
Figure G-3
Alarm Settings
– Allows the user to modify alarm threshold values.
Monitor AirWave Microphones
– Allows the user to listen to AirWave microphone signals. This feature
is used to both troubleshoot the Sensor
and listen to the patient’s breath sounds.
Sound Speed Correction
– Allows the user to select sound speed correction method and
corresponding parameters.
ETT Movement Smoothing
– Enable/disable a smoothing filter to reduce effect of signal artifact on ETT
movement monitoring
Set Carina Distance
– Allows the user to manually enter the distance from the ETT tip to the patient’s
carina based on a chest x-ray. This option only appears if a Sensor is connected to the system,
calibration is complete, and a baseline has been set.
Modify ETT Length
– Allows the user to modify calibrated ETT length. This option only appears if a
Sensor is connected to the system and has been calibrated.
Patient Info
– Allows the user to enter unique patient identifier. This option only appears if enabled in
System Settings by Administrator.
Data Logging
– Allows the user to modify data logging settings for troubleshooting and research
purposes. This option only appears if enabled in System Settings by Administrator.
System Settings
– Allows the user to adjust LCD brightness, Date-Time, and Alarm default settings
(this option is password protected and is intended for authorized personnel only (see
AirWave System
Set-up and Maintenance Manual
)
To exit the
Main Menu
, press the
Previous Screen
button.
