INSTALLATION
1. FRAGILE! Broken glass can cause cutting injuries.
2. Before installation, carefully remove packaging, and make sure not to damage the unit or the connecting
cable. If you find any damage, the unit must not be operated.
3. Unwind the power cable and lead it out on the side of the base.
4. Set the base on hard, horizontal surface.
5. Plug the unit into a standard grounded wall socket. Now the unit is ready for operation.
6. Open the lid by pressing the lid opener button (6).
7. Fill the kettle with cold water up to max. marking and close the lid tightly.
8. Place the kettle on the base.
9. Switch on the kettle by pushing the on/off switch to I position. Operating indicator will light.
10. If the water has boiled, the switch will turn to position 0, the appliance will switch off and the light will go out.
11. Pour out the boiled water.
12. Repeat two more times the steps 6–11.
13. Afterwards the unit is ready for use.
CLEANING
Empty the kettle before cleaning, and let it cool down.
Cleaning the water tank
1. It is recommended to remove lime scale weekly in case of hard water, and once in eversy 2 weeks in case of
medium-hard or soft water.
2. For that purpose, prepare a solution by mixing one part of 10% vinegar with two parts of water.
3. Fill the water tank with this solution up to the MAX marking, then leave it stand for 2 hours.
4. According to the 6-11 points of INSTALLATION, rinse the kettle 2-3 times.
5. The appliance must not be immersed to water or other liquid.
6. Water must not flow on the outer surface of the appliance, it must only be wiped with a slightly damp cloth.
Cleaning the water filter
1. Open the water tank lid.
2. Carefully clean the filter with a soft, wet plastic brush.
3. Pour a glass of cold water into the kettle.
4. Close the lid and pour the cold water through the filter.
Cleaning the base
1. Switch off and power off the unit by unplugging it from the electric outlet before cleaning.
2. Clean the base with dry cloth. Do not use any aggressive cleaners. Avoid getting water inside of and on the
electric components of the appliance.
3. The appliance must not be immersed to water or other liquid.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Malfunction
Possible solution
The appliance does not boil the water.
Check the power supply and the main switch.
Make sure the water tank is properly inserted to the base.
Overheating protection may activated. Let the appliance cool down.
DISPOSAL
Waste equipment must be collected and disposed separately from household waste because it may
contain components hazardous to the environment or health. Used or waste equipment may be dropped
off free of charge at the point of sale, or at any distributor which sells equipment of identical nature
and function. Dispose of the product at a facility specializing in the collection of electronic waste. By
doing so, you will protect the environment as well as the health of others and yourself. If you have any
questions, contact the local waste management organization. We shall undertake the tasks pertinent to
the manufacturer as prescribed in the relevant regulations and shall bear any associated costs arising.
