INSTALLATION
1. Before installation, carefully remove packaging, and make sure not to damage the unit or the connecting cable. If you find any damage, the unit must not be operated!
2. The unit is intended for use in dry, indoor spaces only!
3. Stand the unit on its base on a hard, flat surface!
4. For proper operation, minimum location distances around the product, shown on
Figure 2.
have to be ensured!
5. Thoroughly wash the filter (6), the filter holder (5) and the glass carafe (3) in running water, with dishwashing liquid, then rinse them with clean water.
6. After the washed components get dried, put them together.
7. Plug the unit into a standard grounded wall socket!
8. Fill cold drinking water to the glass carafe up to the 4th marking, then pour it to the water tank (8). Tighten the water tank cover (1) securely in place.
9. Put the glass carafe together with its lid exactly under the filter holder.
10. Set the operation mode switch (7) to position.
11. Let the water flow through to the glass carafe, but switch the unit to OFF position before the water would reach the marking 4.
12. Immerse the milk frothing spout to half a glass of water, and rotate the switch to position.
13. After all the steam has left, switch off the unit by rotating the switch to OFF position.
14. With this the appliance is ready for use.
CONTROL AND DISSEMINATION OF OVERPRESSURE
- Rotate the operation mode switch (7) to OFF position, and pull out the power cable plug from the wall outlet.
- Rotate the operation mode switch to position. If steam ejects from the milk foaming spout (2), the vapor pressure is still high. Switch it back to OFF position.
- Fill cold water to a metal or ceramic pot, and immerse the milk foaming spout to it.
- When the switch is in position, release the steam. Spout has to be under water.
- If no steam comes out of the spout, overpressure has ceased. Set the switch to OFF, remove the water pot.
BEFORE PREPARING THE COFFEE
You can chose between pre-ground coffee or freshly ground coffee for preparing your espresso. Pre-ground coffee preserves its aroma for 7-8 days, stored in a hermetically sealed
box in a cool, dark place. Do not store it in the fridge or in freezer. The coffee beans which are stored in the same way can preserve their aroma for up to 4 weeks. You can make
a better coffee, which is richer in aromas if you use freshly ground coffee.
The grain size of ground coffee is ideal if it looks alike salt. Hot water can flow through very easily on the coarser ground coffee, the coffee will be diluted. If the coffee is already
so finely ground as if it were flour, there will be a very strong coffee, or it can even plug the coffee maker.
PREPARING ESPERESSO COFFEE
1. The mode switch of the unit has to be in
OFF
position.
2. Make sure, that there is no overpressure in the appliance. See the paragraph about „
Control and dissemination of overpressure
”
3. Fill as much cold water to the glass carafe as many portion you want to prepare, but only up to marking 4th, then pour this water to the water tank.
WARNING! Do not fill
water to the device if it is turned on!
4. Close the water tank tightly.
5. Put the filter to the filter holder, and put as much coffee to it as much the dose needs, up to the 4th marking.
6. Insert the filter holder to its place, so as the shaft is standing to the left and after turn it to the right till stops. The edge of the filter holder should be clean in order to fit the gasket
of the appliance properly.
7. Put the glass carafe together with its lid exactly under the filter holder.
8. Set the operation mode switch (7) to position. Red light will be on.
9. The appliance starts to boil the water, then the coffee will flow down to the glass carafe. This process takes about 3-5 minutes.
10. If you turn the mode switch to PAUSE position, the coffee will not flow. Use the PAUSE position for a short period of time only, until you fill the ready coffee into cups (up to
30 seconds).
11. If no more coffee is flowing, switch the appliance to OFF position.
12. Till the appliance is under overpressure, do not remove the filter holder. See paragraph about „Control and dissemination of overpressure”
13. Allow the appliance to cool down for at least 10 minutes before the next usage.
PREPARING CAPPUCCINO
Cappuccino is made from 1/3 part espresso coffee, 1/3 part from steamed milk and 1/3 of milk foam. Making milk foam requires practice, so do not be disappointed if you do not
succeed first. For best results, we recommend to foam up the milk in a separate glass and pour it on the coffee after. Use low-fat milk for milk foaming with max. 1,5% fat content.
It is important that the milk should be cold and the glass is at room temperature.
