IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

WARNINGS
• Before using the product for the first time, please read the instructions for use below and retain them for later
reference. The original instructions were written in the Hungarian language.
• CHOKING HAZARD! Keep the packaging out of the reach of children. • Protect the device from shocks,
moisture, dust, chemicals, extreme temperature changes, electromagnetic fields and direct heat radiation. • Do
not place the scale on a soft surface (such as carpet), as this can lead to inaccurate measurements. • Do not
jump on or off the scale. • Do not step on the edge of the scale with one foot, as this may cause it to tip over.
• DANGER OF SLIPPING! Do not step on the scale with wet feet. • The scale is intended for measuring the
weight of persons only. • The device is intended for household use, not for medical or commercial purposes. • In
case of any malfunction, please check the battery and replace it, if necessary. • If you do not use the scale for
a long period of time, remove the batteries. Otherwise, they may leak inside the device and cause irreversible
damage. • Batteries can only be replaced by adults. • Make sure to insert the batteries observing the correct
polarity. • Do not mix batteries of different brands and/or charging level. • After replacing the batteries, secure the
battery cover. • If the device is not used for a longer period, remove the batteries. • If any fluids have leaked from
the batteries, clean the battery compartment with a dry cloth wearing protective gloves. • Remove any depleted
batteries right away. • Caution! Incorrect battery replacement can cause explosion hazard. Only use equivalent,
or interchangeable batteries for replacement. • Do not expose batteries to direct heat or sunlight. Never open,
place into fire or short circuit the batteries. • Never charge non-rechargeable batteries. Explosion hazard! •
Do not use rechargeable batteries instead of single-use ones, as their voltage and efficiency are lower. • Do
not weld or solder anything directly to a battery. • Store unused batteries in their original packaging and away
from metal objects. • Avoid mixing already unpacked batteries. • Due to continuous development, the technical
specifications and design of this product may change without prior notice. • The most recent instruction manual
is available for download at the website www.somogyi.hu. • However, we regret such inconvenience, we do not
take any responsibility for possible printing errors.
The product is not a toy. Keep out of reach of children.
CLEANING
Use a soft, damp cloth for cleaning the scale, then wipe it dry. Never immerse the scale in water or rinse it under
running water. Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents.
DISPOSAL
Waste equipment must not be collected separately or disposed of with household waste because it may
contain components hazardous to the environment or health. Used or waste equipment may be dropped
off free of charge at the point of sale, or at any distributor which sells equipment of identical nature and
function. Dispose of product at a facility specializing in the collection of electronic waste. By doing so, you
will protect the environment as well as the health of others and yourself. If you have any questions, contact
the local waste management organization. We shall undertake the tasks pertinent to the manufacturer as
prescribed in the relevant regulations and shall bear any associated costs arising.
DISPOSING OF ALKALINE AND RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES
Batteries, whether alkaline or rechargeable, must not be handled together with regular household waste. It
is the legal obligation of the product’s user to dispose of batteries at a nearby collection center or at a retail
shop. This ensures that the batteries are ultimately neutralized in an environment-friendly way.
