Zoom
In the single-channel review mode, it is possible to zoom the signal. A vertical
↕ zoom
movement (stretching and pinching two fingers on the display) changes the signal amplitude;
a horizontal
↔ zoom movement changes the temporal resolution of the signal. The time scale
is shown on the bottom right on the display.
Impedance display
An impedance display is available for all EEG and EOG channels.

Blood pressure calibration on the display
This function is an optional extra and may be subject to an additional charge. If you have
purchased a licence for the blood pressure calibration, it is possible to calibrate the blood
pressure via the display. Required signals for the blood pressure calibration are ECG (via ECG
sensor or headbox) and plethysmogram from the SpO2 finger sensor. Start the BP calibration
by tapping on the corresponding symbol. In wait mode (programmed start) the blood pressure
calibration can be performed until 10 minutes before the measurement in the signal check
mode. Start by tapping on the icon for the blood pressure calibration.
Proceed as follows:
The patient should sit still quietly and in an upright position. Place
the cuff on the patient’s arm
at heart level. Always use the opposite arm to where the finger SpO2 sensor of SOMNO HD
TM
is attached. If the finger sensor is attached to the left hand, place the blood pressure cuff at
the right arm. Tap on the calibration symbol on the display. The device checks the signal quality
of the ECG and SpO2 plethysmogram waveform. Measure the blood pressure with a blood
pressure cuff gauge (digital or by auscultation). Enter the indicated blood pressure value on
the display of the main device. Follow the instructions on the display.
