Maintenance, Transport and Storage
6.1
Maintenance
The RSM 400 should be returned to the manufacturer for maintenance every two years. The requirement for
service is also signaled in the SOMAG Mount Control App (see chapter 5.1). Should a malfunction of the Mount
occur, please contact SOMAG AG Jena to solve the problem as quickly as possible.
6.2
Transport and Storage
The RSM 400 scope of supply contains a rugged transportation case (see chapter 2) which is necessary to
ship and store the device. If the Mount is removed from the vehicle, it should be placed in the storage box to
keep it clean and protected. The Mount needs to be moved to its bottom position before it is placed inside the
transportation box. This can be done either manually by forcing it down by hand when powered off (see Figure
8) or automatically via the SOMAG Mount Control App (CONTROL
→
Mount Position

Use only the original transportation case for shipping or transporting the device. Using any
other transportation housings or boxes will void the warranty.
