Installation & Operating Instructions

Installation Requirements
Before commencing installation of the unit 
consideration should be given to the following:
1. Read these instructions thoroughly.
2. Chamber/opening dimensions.
  MIN 420mm(W)x570mm(H)x75mm(D)
  MAX440mm(W)x580mm(H)xNO MAX DEPTH
3. Open chimney/flue must be blocked off to 
  prevent downdrafts and chimney draw.
4. You will need the suitable tools.
5. You will need the suitable wall plugs for the 
  stability system eyelet.
6. Select a location that is not prone to moisture.
7. A 13 amp, 240 Volt socket capable of 
  accommodating a maximum load of 2050 
  watts must be available close to the  

 

appliance. The socket must be accessible at 
all times and must not be placed directly 
behind the unit.

DO NOT INSTALL THE APPLIANCE 
DIRECTLY ON CARPET OR SIMILIAR 
SURFACES WHICH MAY RESTRICT  
AIR CIRCULATION.

Unpacking & Testing
Carefully remove the unit from the packaging 
and prior to installing the unit, test the unit by 
plugging the power supply into a conventiently 
located 13 amp earthed socket and run 
through the controls. Your appliance is supplied 
with the following items:
• Remote Control (2xAAA Batteries included)

prior to installing the unit, test the unit by plugging

the  power  supply  into  a  conventiently  located  13

amp grounded socket.

Second Canop

The Fireplace is designed to fit with various frames

supplied by Capital. The second Canopy is assembled 

onto the product as default seeting from factory.

Pls. follow the steps below to remove the second Canopy.

1. Removing 2pcs white screws on each side panels

    with a screw driver (Fig. 2);

2.  Pulling the Canopy out after screws are removed;

     (Fig. 2);

3. The Fireplace with just Primary Canopy as shown

    (Fig. 3)

For the Fireplace is fit with or without Second 

            Canopy Pls. refer to Frames Insatllation.

Installation Preparation

Before installing the SLE40, determine  
which frame is to be fitted. (Fig.1 & Fig.3)

IMPORTANT - Removing Second 

Canopy

The Fireplace is designed to fit with various 
frames supplied by Capital. The SLE40i 
comes supplied with the second canopy 
fitted. Please follow the steps below to 
remove the second Canopy when using 
the cast iron fire frames with the SLE40i.

1. Remove 2 bright steel screws on each 
  side of the fire with a screw driver (Fig. 2);

2. Pull the Canopy forward after screws are 
  removed; (Fig. 2);

3. The SLE40i with just Primary Canopy is 
  shown in Fig. 3
