45. When not using the appliance for prolonged periods of time,
always pour out the remaining water and also let it dry on the
inside. Best store the appliance in a dark, cool place with good
air circulation.
46. The water basin with the humidification mat has to be cleaned
regularly, meaning once a week. Please refer to the notes given
in the section ”Cleaning and maintenance“ on page 86–87
of this manual.
47. Only clean the appliance chassis with a dry or slightly moist
cloth. Never use aggressive, abrasive or corrosive detergents
or furniture polish to clean the appliance.
48. When lifting or moving the appliance, always grab the air
humidifier by its base. Always switch the appliance off, pull the
power plug / power adapter and empty out the water before
doing that. Be very careful when moving the appliance and
never shake or throw it, it might be damaged and spring a
leak. Also, water might spill out of the appliance.
49. Should you notice a strange smell or sound, switch the appli-
ance off and disconnect the power adapter. Do not start using
it again before having its functionality and safety checked by
Solis or a service centre authorized by Solis.
50. The humidity switch built into the appliance measures the air
humidity directly at the appliance. A humidity switch placed
outside of the appliance might display different values for air
humidity.
51. Only fill the water basin as described in the manual. Water
must never be poured into the air outlet on the upper side of
the appliance.

Caution:
Never drink the water in the water basin. Do not use
it for watering plants or for feeding animals.

Caution:
If you do not use the device for a prolonged period of
time, bacteria and mould could develop on the humidification
mat. Therefore, you should always check the humidification
mat if you want to put the appliance back into operation after
a prolonged break. If there are stains on the humidification
mat, we recommend that you replace the humidification mat
with a new one. We recommend that you only put the appli-
ance into storage if the water basin and the humidification
mat are completely dry, and that you leave the appliance open
until both are dry.
