PROGRAMMING THE EXTRACTION TIME (SHOT VOL)
Programming the extraction time for 1 cup
Press the
MENU
button until
SHOT VOL
flashes in the display and
1CUP
is stated.
Press the
button to make the water flow through the brewing group.
Press the
button again once the desired time has been reached.
The appliance beeps twice to indicate that the new brewing time for 1 cup has been
saved.
Programming the extraction time for 2 cups
Press the
MENU
button until
SHOT VOL
flashes in the display and
2CUP
is stated.
Press the
button to make the water flow through the brewing group.
Press the
button again once the desired time has been reached.
The appliance beeps twice to indicate that the new brewing time for 2 cups has
been saved.
Note:
By default, the amounts for 1 and 2 cups are defined by the extraction time.
Should you wish to determine the amount by precise volume data, please read the
chapter ”Fine tuning your settings in the advanced menu“ on page 141.

Programming the extraction amount for 1 cup
Press the
MENU
button until
SHOT VOL
flashes in the display and
1CUP
is stated.
Fill the filter insert in the portafilter with coffee powder and tamp it. Press the
button again to start the espresso extraction. Press the
button again once the
desired amount of espresso has been extracted.
The machine beeps twice to indicate that the new amount for 1 cup has been saved.

Press the
MENU
button until
SHOT VOL
flashes in the display and
2CUPS
is stated.

flashes in the display. The currently set
extraction temperature is displayed (93 °C by default).
Press the

or
▲
arrow buttons to set the desired temperature, ranging from 86 °C
to 96 °C.
