Telco Lines
The Telco Lines Tab, shown in Figure 6-6, presents information on the E1/T1 telco interfaces. For each active
line, Signal Loss status, Alarm Indication Status (AIS), and Driver Failure Mode (DFM) status is provided. Note
that status is provided only for the number of active lines selected on Modem tab.
Signal Loss status is green if valid received signal is present on the receive port; red is no valid signal
is present.
AIS status is red if an all ones error condition is detected at the received port; green indicates an all
ones error condition is not detected.
DFM status is red if the Tx driver is detected to be in fault mode, usually indicating a short-circuit
condition on the transmit lines.
Note that the T1/E1 ports are numbered from top left to bottom right.
