Link Quality
The Link Quality screen (Figure 6-5) describes the link quality statistics that may be useful in your
analysis of the link condition over time.
Errored Frames
– indicates the number of RF frames received in error.
Link Up Time
– indicates the duration during which the connection was established
Link Down Time
– indicates the duration during which the connection was NOT established
Error Free Sec
– indicates the total number of seconds during which the TDM connection was
error free (per ITU G.826 definition).
Errored Sec
– cumulative number of seconds in which the TDM transmission resulted in at least
one error per second (ES, per G.826 definition).
Sev Errored Sec
– cumulative number of seconds in which the TDM transmission resulted in at
least 320 errors per second (SES, per ITU G.826 definition).
Unavail Sec
– the total number of seconds in which TDM transport was deemed unavailable as
counted following the 10th contiguous Severely Errored Seconds (per ITU G.826 definition).
Block Error Rate
– indicates the ratio of blocks received in error to the total number of blocks.
Pressing the
Reset Counter
button all fields except for those governed by G.826, as indicated above.
Reset All clears all of the fields in the
Link Quality
screen.
