CableMaster 800
NETWORK MAPPING
The CableMaster 800/850 pings network devices using NDP to identify broadcasted
devices by obtaining their IP addresses
• From the Network Mapping home screen , press the Network Mapping soft key
• The CableMaster 800/850 will scan the network and display IP addresses. The list
will include device labels to the left of the IP addresses
• To save the Network Mapping results, press the Save soft key
• Use the arrow buttons and the Enter button to name the test file. Press the Delete
soft key
or the Delete All soft key
to clear an entry
• Press the Save soft key again to save the file name.
The CableMaster 800/850 will display “Test Saved” at the top of the screen
• Press the Back button to return to the previous screen
• Additional information can be viewed by selecting an IP address then press the
Enter button:
Note: The CableMaster 800/850 can save up to 20 Network Mapping List tests
containing up to 256 IP addresses each.
• Press the List soft key to return to the Network Mapping list
