ROUTINE CHECKS
Regularly the user should visually check the appliance and the
surrounding zone for leaks. Shut off the water supply to the
appliance and open the drinking water faucet immediately if
any sign of leaks is observed.
FILTER CARTRIDGE REPLACEMENT
Only use original and identical filter cartridges! The use
of non-original filter cartridges may lead to damage to the
filter manifold or improper functioning of the appliance.
The replacement frequency of the filter cartridges
depends on the water quality and the water consumption.
Always respect the provisions with regard to replacement
interval (capacity and time), as indicated on the filter
cartridges.
Do not change the sequence in which the filter
cartridges are installed in the filter manifold, as this may
lead to damage to the filter manifold or filter cartridges.
To facilitate the filter cartridge replacement procedure,
it is strongly recommended to:
-
shut off the water supply to the appliance,
-
close the stop valve on the storage tank,
-
remove the appliance from under the sink.
When the water flow from the drinking water faucet
noticeably slows down, this may be caused by a filter
cartridge becoming clogged by impurities. Replacement of
the filter cartridge is recommended.
Although the filter manifold is equipped with integrated
automatic shut off valves to shut off the water supply when
a filter cartridge is removed from the filter manifold, a
limited amount of water may leak from the filter manifold
and/or filter cartridge when the filter cartridge is removed
from the filter manifold. Make sure to take the necessary
precautions to prevent damage to the property.
Remove the protective plugs from the inlet/outlet ports
on the top of the filter cartridges before installation in the
filter manifold. Once the protective plugs are removed from
the filter cartridge, we recommend to install the filter
cartridge in the filter manifold as soon as possible, to avoid
contamination of the filter cartridge.
Make sure that the O-rings are present on the
inlet/outlet ports on the top of the filter cartridge before
installation in the filter manifold.
In order to gain access to the carbon block filter
cartridge, the cover over the booster pump and carbon block
filter cartridge needs to be removed.

1.
Unlock the filter cartridge by turning it 90° to the left to
the
unlocked
position and remove it from the filter
manifold by pulling it down.
2.
Write the next date of replacement of the filter cartridge
in the field provided on the top of the label of the
replacement filter cartridge.
3.
Take the replacement filter cartridge and hold it with the
front label facing you; turn it 90° to the left.
4.
Insert the replacement filter cartridge in the empty slot in
the filter manifold and lock it by turning it 90° to the right
to the
locked
position.
5.
Open the drinking water faucet and let the water run for
15 min. to rinse the filter cartridges.
6.
Close the drinking water faucet.
APPEARANCE
To retain the appearance of the appliance, simply wipe it with
a damp cloth or clean it with a mild soap solution; never use
abrasive cleaners, ammonia or solvents.
SANITIZING THE APPLIANCE
Whenever polluted water or water of unknown quality
has passed through the appliance, we strongly recommend
to replace the filter cartridges and thoroughly rinse the
appliance.
This appliance is manufactured from premium quality
material and assembled in safe conditions to assure it is clean
and sanitary. If installed and serviced correctly, this appliance
will not infect or contaminate your water supply. However, as
in any 'device' plumbed-in in your water distribution system,
a proliferation of bacteria is possible, especially in case of
'stagnant water'.
This appliance uses special sealed filter cartridges to avoid any
human contact with the filter element that comes into
contact with water. Once the protective plugs are removed
from the filter cartridge, we recommend to install the filter
cartridge in the filter manifold as soon as possible, to avoid
contamination of the filter cartridge.
If the water supply to the appliance is disconnected, or in case
of longer period of non-use of the appliance, we recommend
to:
1.
Completely empty the storage tank.
2.
Shut off the water supply.
3.
Thoroughly rinse the appliance before putting it back into
use.
