Introduction
The Socket 56K Modem Card gives you the freedom of high speed
Internet access, email, and faxing from any analog phone line. It plugs
directly into your Pocket PC, notebook or tablet PC and provides a
durable physical connection for data communication. Plus, it features
V.92 technology to provide the following advanced modem options.

Quick Connect — The modem saves information the first time it
dials into a network, so future connections to the same network
are faster.

Modem-on-Hold — This feature allows you to accept incoming
phone calls without losing your data connection. Caller ID is also
supported, so you’ll know who’s calling.

No software installation is necessary for notebook PCs, tablet PCs, and
most Pocket PCs.
If using a Pocket PC or other Windows CE device, check to see if it has built-in
modem drivers.
About the Software
Socket Mobile developed software expressly for Windows Mobile to simplify and
enhance your connection experience.
Follow the Connection Setup wizard to quickly and easily set up a dial-up
connection to your Internet Service Provider or office network. The wizard
provides a simple alternative to the confusing connection software built
into Pocket PCs.
Modem Utilities software allows you to take advantage of the modem’s v.92
features, including Quick Connect and Modem-on-Hold. You can also use
Modem Utilities to configure the modem for different country codes and to
adjust the volume of the modem’s internal speaker.
