SERVICE AND REPAIR
HYDRAULICS
HYDRAULIC PUMP
Remove the cap screws that mount the pump to the engine. Remove the pump from the engine and
apply high pressure molybdenum grease to the splines. Re-install the pump and secure the cap
screws. Tighten using a torque of 30 Nm.
HYDRAULIC OIL TANK & FILTER
Fluid Level:
•
With the platform fully lowered, the oil should be between the levels ‘low and high’.
• If the oil is not visible, fill the tank until the oil can be seen.
• Do not fill the oil tank above the high level mark or when the platform is elevated.
OIL AND FILTER REPLACEMENT
1.
Operate the work platform for 5 minutes to warm up the oil. To change filter only, refer to step
5.
2. Use a suitable container to drain the oil into.
The hydraulic tank has an oil capacity of 75
litres.
3. Remove the drain plug and allow all the oil to
drain into the container. Make sure the oil is
disposed off properly.
4. Re-install the drain plug.
5.
Unscrew the filter element from the filter body.
6.
Lubricate the rubber seal and fill the tank with
clean hydraulic oil.
7.
Screw the replacement filter element unto the
filter body.
8. Fill the hydraulic oil tank to the level required
with the recommended fluid. Check decals for
details on oil to use. The standard oil to use is
ISO #46. The oil is being strained as it enters
the tank leading to an increase in the time used
to fill the tank.
SETTING HYDRAULIC PRESSURES
NOTE: Check the hydraulic pressures whenever the pump, manifold or relief valve(s) have
been serviced or replaced
.

The hydraulic oil may be of sufficient temperature to cause burns. Wear
safety gloves and safety glasses when handling hot oil.
The oil in the hydraulic system is under very high pressure which can easily
cause severe cuts. Obtain medical assistance immediately if hydraulic oil
