During power-on / initialisation
LINE 1: Shows the device and firmware version

LINE 2: Indicates the reset/auto-on output save mode. Read-Only will use pre-saved relay states
after a power cycle or reset.
LINE 3: Displays the communications speeds used for the USB console, and the internal modem.
LINE 4: The modem wake-up status
– in this case the modem is being powered- ‘on’, which may take
several seconds.
During modem registration
Once the modem has power, ControlMate attempts to register with the cellular carrier identified by
the SIM card.
LINE 4: The modem status changes to ‘Registering…’ followed by the carrier name and IMEI number.
If the modem fails to register, check the PIN number is not set in the SIM card (remove the SIM, and
check the SIM PIN settings with a mobile phone. The ControlMate does not use a PIN number

If ControlMate detects a request for the PIN, it will stop initialising, and flash the attention LED
rapidly
Power cycle the controller to restart the process when the SIM problem has been corrected.

If the LCD is re-connected after the ControlMate is powered on or restarted, it is necessary to type
SET CLEAR LCD, or reset the controller to correctly initialise the LCD display.

Too many attempts restarting a ‘PIN locked’ SIM card will block the card from use. You need to contact the
mobile carrier to unlock the card in a mobile phone before any further attempts.
