INTRODUCTION 

2.1  ProtoNode Gateway 

ProtoNode is an external, high performance 

Building Automation multi-protocol gateway 

that is 

preconfigured  to  automatically  communicate  between  ClimateWorx

’s  products  (hereafter  called 

“device”)  connected  to  the  ProtoNode  and  automatically  configures  them  for  BACnet  MS/TP, 
BACnet/IP, BACnet Ethernet, Metasys

®2

 N2 by JCI, Modbus TCP/IP or LonWorks

®3

. 

 
It  is  not  necessary  to  download  any  configuration  files  to  support  the  required  applications.  The 
ProtoNode is pre-loaded with tested Profiles/Configurations for the supported devices.
