TROUBLESHOOTING

FALSE ALARMS

This alarm has been manufactured to the highest standards to work properly
without signaling false alarms. However, false alarms can occur for a number of
reasons, but remember that false alarms are better than no alarm at all.

• Heavy winds and severe weather conditions that are steady and cause the

pool water to rock or force objects into the pool may trigger the alarm but
light rain and wind will not.

• Installing the alarm directly after swimmers have exited the pool may

trigger the alarm (depending on pool size and type of swimming activity).
Allow the water to settle prior to installing the alarm after the pool has been
used.

• Certain water features such as waterfalls or fountains may cause the alarm

to signal. Install the alarm away from these features.

• Automatic cleaners may also set the alarm off. Hoses or cords that come in

contact with the alarm or wake created by the cleaner can trigger the siren.
Find an area where the cleaner will not come in contact with the alarm or
run the cleaner when the alarm is not in use.

• Ensure that all returns are facing downward as turbulence created by a pool

return may signal an alarm.

ALARM NOT SOUNDING

• Certain water features such as waterfalls or fountains may cause the alarm

to signal. Install the alarm away from these features.

REMOTE ALARM NOT SOUNDING

• check the batteries/the outlet is functional and ensure the remote is within

working range (100 linear feet/30M)
