Charging stations without communica-
tions functionality
Charging stations without communications
functionality must be activated before
charging, e.g. by using an RFID card.
Observe the notes provided by the charging
station operator.
Charging stations with communication
capabilities (Plug&Charge)
The "Plug&Charge" function is not available
in all countries.
A suitable electricity contract is required
in order to use "Plug&Charge". To arrange
this, contact the charging station operator.
If the vehicle is connected to a charging
station with communication capabilities,
information and technical parameters are
exchanged so that the charging process can
be started without additional activation.
This function is called "Plug&Charge".
Due to the data transfer, it may take up to
30 seconds after the charging cable is con-
nected before charging begins.
i
International Standard ISO 15118 is
used for the communication between the
vehicle and the intelligent charging sta-
tion.
