11 Troubleshooting

1. Disconnect the inverter from voltage sources (see Section 10).
2. Use a measuring device to measure whether there
is a conductive connection between the upper and
the middle connection wire.
If there is no conductive connection present, the varistor is defective. SMA Solar Technology AG
recommends replacing all varistors immediately.
– Order new varistors and a new insertion tool (see Section 14 "Accessories", page 103).
– If new varistors are available, replace all varistors (see Section 11.7).
If a conductive connection is present, contact the SMA Service Line.
11.7 Replacing the Varistors
Proceed as follows to replace each varistor.
1. Disconnect the inverter from voltage sources (see Section 10).
2. Insert the insertion tool into the contacts of the
terminal block.
3. Remove the varistor from the terminal block.
