Sweep the search coil and keep it parallel to the ground and the surface of
the water, which will minimize the negative effects caused by the uneven
ground and varying amounts of moisture near the water. Do not sweep the
search coil perpendicular, as this may produce abrupt changes in ground
response that may reduce the detector's performance.

To fully search an area, overlap the sweeping of your search coil by half the
length of the coil (about 5.51 inches). Sweep the search coil in a straight
line or with a slight arc at a sweeping speed of about 2.23 mph.

Four bars indicate that batteries are fully charged. Replace batteries when
there is only 1 bar remaining. The detector will still perform well until the
batteries need to be replaced. It can be expected to work for 20 to 40 hours
depending on the type and quality of batteries.

Remove all batteries when the metal detector will be stored and not be used
for longer than 30 days.

Walk slowly as you sweep the search coil in the straight line from side to
side at a speed of about 2.23 mph. Stretch the search coil forward about
half the length of the search coil when finishing detection.
