There should at least be a full joint (approx. 10 mm) round the entire inlet. Make sure that the inlet is able
to work in relation to the building structure.
Fill the inlet ribs completely with mortar.
Make sure that the building becomes completely tight and at the same time leads any solar heat into the
structure.
In order to prevent cold bridges from forming along the side of the inlet, the insulation of the brickwork
must abut against the inlet all the way round it (similarly to normal building structures).
Finally, clean the inside and outside of the inlet and remove mortar, also from holes.
Mount a sill on the outside below the inlet, e.g. item no. 433028, or coat with cement to prevent water
from penetrating down into the building structure.
Choose a regular size joint. If you choose to use bricks only, cut a brick to half height to ensure an even
joint all the way round.
