INSTALLATION OF STUDS

WARNING

Never stud a track that has not been approved for studs.
Approved tracks can be identified by a stud symbol (see
illustration) molded into the track surface.

Studs should only be installed in the locations indicated
by molded bulges in the track surface.

Never stud a track with a profile of 35 mm (1.375 in) or
more.

The number of studs installed must always perfectly
match the pattern of molded bulges in the track.

Always consult the traction product manufacturer’s instal-
lation instructions and recommendations before having
your dealer install studs and runners. It is very important
to follow the torque specifications for the stud bolts.
INSTALLING AN INCORRECT NUMBER OF STUDS OR AN IM-
PROPER INSTALLATION CAN INCREASE THE RISK OF THE
TRACK TEARING OR SEVERING, POSSIBLY RESULTING IN SE-
RIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.
