Extra equipment

External medical accessories can be connected to the
external device connection. They must comply with the
requirements of Medical Device Directive 93/42/EEC.

NOTICE

If the treatment unit is equipped with a disinfection
system, the additional devices attached to the exter-
nal device connection are exposed to a hydrogen
peroxide concentration (H

2

O

2

) of 0.1 ‰-0.2 ‰.

If the additional devices are not suitable for the hydrogen
peroxide concentration specified, these may be dam-
aged.
Before connecting the additional devices, check whether
they can be exposed to such hydrogen peroxide concen-
tration. If necessary, contact the manufacturer of the re-
spective additional device.
Additional devices must be disconnected before sanitiz-
ing the external device connection (water connection).

IMPORTANT

DVGW approval

As the treatment center is designed according to
EN 1717/DIN 1988 (DVGW requirements), the connect-
ed additional devices also fulfill the requirements of the
above standards when a disinfection system is integrat-
ed, see "Standards / Approvals" on page 17.

IMPORTANT

Independent power supply unit

The inlet connector remains live even when the power
switch is turned off. The connected external devices
therefore must possess their own power switch.
However, the air and water connections are switched off.
