2. Preparing
2.1 Special safety instructions
–
When performing check up,
maintenance repair and mount works
always switch off the P.T.O.shaft.
Switch off the engine and pull out the
ignition key. Secure tractor against
movements.
–
Maximum P.T.O. shaft rotation is 1000
rpm.
–
Devices like string, hydraulic tubes,
electrical installations must be placed
so that any unintentional pull or touch
with tyres is impossible. Risk of
accident!
–
Nobody is allowed to stay between the
tractor and the machine when lifting or
lowering the swather with tractor
hydraulics.
–
Make sure nobody is in the danger area
of the swather before switching on the
P.T.O. shaft. High injury risk!
–
Pay attention to use protections
according to regulations when working
or driving on the road. Mount the light
equipment and check its functioning.
–
Never leave the driver seat during
working.
Before connecting or disconnecting the mower to the
three point hydraulik hitch bars set the control levers
into the position that excludes an unintentional lifting
or lowering of the three point hitch!
Connecting and disconnecting the mower requires
special attention!
In the area of three point hydraulic hitch bars there is
danger of injuries being caused by squeezing and of
bruises.
The mower is equiped with quick hitch.
2.1.1 Changing the rotation direction
The first mower gear connected to the tractor PTO
shaft is factory installed in an anticlockwise rotation
from the direction of travel point of view.
Examine the rotation direction of the tractor shaft.
If the shaft is rotated in the opposite direction, the first
gear must be rotated (the procedure should be done
at a service centre).
2.2 Attaching to the tractor
The mower is already designed to meet operational
settings prior to attachment (a ridge inclination of 2
degrees in the direction of travel has already been
set). The mower is factory equipped with a quick hitch.
–
Pay attention that nobody is between
the tractor and the machine when
connecting the machine to the tractor.
–
Danger of protective curtain damage.
Before hitching
–
Check if the two elastic bands (1) are in the first drill
hole (not too tight). For versions without the
conditioner also (4).
–
Move away by hand the protective curtain in the
quick hitch area to prevent its damage.
–
Check if the PTO shaft (2) is located in the centre of
the machine.
–
Place the cardan shaft (2) on the curtain.
–
Check if the hydraulic relief chains (3) are outside
the area of the quick hitch.
