Undo  the  6  mm  cap-head  bolt  and  lift  the  belt 
sander bed as shown in below diagram, Once in 
the  vertical  position  tighten  cap-head  bolt  to  se-
cure.

Sanding curved edges

  

As shown in diagram the belt sander is now in a vertical po-
sition, Never leave the machine running in this position when 
not in attendance . 

Below diagrams show the belt sander sanding curved edges, When sanding with the 
idler  drum,  use  very  light  pressure.  If  you  press  too  hard,  you'll  put  an  unnecessary 
strain on the sleeve bearings in the idler drum.
