Congratulations!
You have opted for the Sinn 240 C, a watch developed
by the Chronos editorial team in collaboration with Sinn
Spezialuhren. Our first idea was to ensure the interior
rotating bezel of the Sinn 240 could also be used as an
hour scale, displaying a second time zone. The second
idea was to give the watch with the cushion-shaped
case an even more pronounced retro look reminiscent
of the 70s, which is why the Sinn 240 C – the ‘C’ stands
for Chronos – comes with two straps: in addition to a
solid stainless steel bracelet, you also receive a medium
brown calf leather strap including underlay, which can be
removed using the tool provided in the packaging – one
watch, three variations. We were also delighted with the
egg yolk yellow of the Space Chronograph 140 A, which
unfortunately is no longer manufactured. We found that
this special colour was not only a good fit for the case
and dial of the 240, but also corresponded perfectly to
the range of colours typical of the 70s. The polished case
sides and the sunburst decoration on the bezel give the
Sinn watch, which is a limited edition of 100, an impressive
look. As always, you can expect lots of features from Sinn.
With a diameter of 43 millimetres, the high-quality stainless-
steel case boasts a screw-fastened back, is water-resistant
up to 100 metres, resistant to low pressure and equipped
with sapphire crystal glass featuring an anti-reflective
coating on both sides. Thanks to the internally ticking
Sellita Calibre SW 220-1 with self-winding mechanism, the
Sinn 240 C displays both the date and the day of the week.
I hope you enjoy this unique watch.
Best regards,
Rüdiger Bucher, Chief Editor of Chronos
