Prior to initial usage, wash it by putting water inside. Boil water inside the
heater 3 times, changing the water with cold water at each boiling. Do not
forget to fill the water up to the maximum level during this process. Do not
use any serial or chemical cleaners such as hydrochloric acid and bleacher
during cleaning. It is normal to have powder-like residue forming in boiled
water depending on the hardness level after the water is boiled. This
situation origination from the water does not have any harm on human
health. When you press the switch located in front of the tea set to the left,
the signal light will come on and it will operate as the tea set, when you
press it to the right, it will operate as the kettle (water heater).
WATER LEVEL
You can fill the device with maximum 2 lt of water whether used as kettle
or tea set. Maximum 2 lt water level has been indicated in red on the filter
inside the device.
USAGE
1) AS KETTLE
The device is operated by pressing the switch no 1 in the front to the right
and by pressing down the boiling switch no 2 located on the handle. The
signal light on the boiling switch will turn on and the device will start heating
water with 2000 W full power.The device will shut-off automatically when
the water starts to boil and heating process will terminate. It means that
boiling water is ready.
2) AS TEA SET
Switch no 1 on the front will pressed to the left. Signal light of switch 1 will
turn on in this position. The signal light on the boiling switch no 2 located
on the handle will turn on upon being pressed down and the device will
start heating water with 2000 W full power. Boiling switch will turn off when
the water stars to boil and the device will start heating in low power with
electronic circuit, in otherwise it swill switch to brewing mode. The device
uses approximately 200 W power in brewing mode. It is not harmful to
have the device remain in brewing mode consistently. The device will
shut-off automatically when the water runs out. In order to re-operate,
you can re-start the operating process upon lifting the device from the
cabled base, filling it with water and replacing it. When not in use switch
the device to kettle mode by pressing the switch no 1 to the right.You
can leave the device on the cabled base in this condition.
TO PREPARE TEA
Depending on the amount of tea you want to prepare, fill the water heater
with maximum 2 lt or minimum 0.5 lt water. Upon placing the kettle onto
the power base, open the lid of the porcelain brewer. Upon putting sufficient
amount of tea inside the brewer, set the brewer onto the electrical kettle.
Switch the switch no 1 to teapot position, in other words to the left and turn
on the boiling switch no 2. The red pilot lamps on both switches will turn
on and the water will start to heat. The water will start to boil within 3 to 8
minutes depending on the amount of water. Upon boiling, the boiling
switch no 2 will automatically switch to off position and Sinbo tea set will
continue to operate at 200 W low power in brewing mode. Brew the tea
with boiled water and place the brewer on top of the teapot. If you add
cold water onto your water heater, turn the boiling switching to on position
again.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Make sure to unplug the device prior to cleaning. Do not wash the kettle
(water heater) and power base in dishwasher and do not plunge them into
water. In order to clean this section wipe it with dry or moist cloth upon
unplugging the device. You can clean the porcelain brewers by washing it
by hand.The filter inside the kettle may be removed and cleaned.
REMOVING CALCIFICATION
Small or big amounts of lime contained in water detach from the water
when the water is boiled and either settles on the bottom or sticks to the
heating base. Lime residue is not harmful to your health. However it may
cause cloudiness or dust like taste when added to drinks. This may
reduce the efficiency of the device.
Clean the calcification formed inside the heater regularly for health and
energy saving purposes. If this formation is soft calcification, you can clean
it with a soft sponge upon unplugging the device. However formed
calcification is hard calcification that is sedimentary, you can clean it with
