2120 Audio System Upgrade
Overview
The BMUX typically contained the following audio components:
• Master Microphone
• Tone Generators
• Preamplifiers
• Preamp monitor modules
• Message Players (tape or digital)
• Audio control modules
• Local BT I/O board for control and monitoring the audio system functions.
An SCC adjacent to the 2120 was integral to the audio subsystem. The SCC typically contained:
• Master Firefighter Telephone and phone system power supply
• Audio Riser Amplifier(s) and power supplies
• Class A Audio Riser Interface Boards
• Audio user interface (LED/Switch)
The 4100U/4100ES replacement of the BMUX audio system will provide the equivalent
functionality.

The migration solution will consist of:
• 4100U/4100ES audio controller card
• Master microphone
• Audio user interface
• One or more Flex-35 amplifiers configured as a "Power Preamp"
• 4100U/4100ES Master Firefighter phone module (optional)
