This power tool is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced

The term “power tool” in the warnings refers to your mains-operated (corded) power tool or battery-

operated (cordless) power tool.

1)  Work area safety
a) 

 

Keep work area clean and well lit. 

Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.

b) 

 

Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of 

flammable liquids, gases or dust. 

Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust  

or fumes.

2)  Electrical safety
a)

 

Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges 

and refrigerators. 

There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.

b)

 

Do not expose non-waterproof electrical devices to rain or wet conditions. Do not 

submerge non-pressure-rated devices in water. 

Water entering an electrical device will 

increase the risk of electric shock.

3)  Personal safety
a)  Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating an electrical 

device. Do not use potentially dangerous electrical devices while you are tired or under 

the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. 

A moment of inattention while operating 

potentially dangerous devices may result in serious personal injury.

b)  Use personal protective equipment including eye protection where appropriate. 

Protective 

equipment used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.

c) 

 

Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. 

This enables better control 

of the device in unexpected situations.

4)  Use and care
a)

 

Do not force the device. Use the correct device for your application.

 The correct device will do 

the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.

b)

 

Do not use the electrical device if the switch does not turn it on and off. 

Any device that 

cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.

c)  Use the device and its accessories in accordance with these instructions, taking into 

account the conditions and the task to be performed. 

Use the device for operations different 

from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.

5)  Service
a)

 

Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical 

replacement parts. 

This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.

Additional Safety Notes 

•  The unit is not shock resistant. Do not drop the unit from height or otherwise subject it to high 

impacts

•  The camera lens and cable are water resistant when the unit is fully assembled. The main unit 

with LCD screen is not water resistant

•  Do not allow water or other liquids to enter the unit. Do not use the camera if condensation 

forms inside the lens. Allow moisture to evaporate before using

•  Turn OFF the system when it is not in use

pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection 

against harmful interference in a residential installation.
This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and 

used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications.
However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation.
If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be 

determined by turning the equipment OFF and ON, the user is encouraged to try to correct the 

interference by one or more of the following measures:
•  Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna
•  Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver
Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help

Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)

The term electromagnetic compatibility is taken to mean the capability of the product to function 

smoothly in an environment where electromagnetic radiation and electrostatic discharges are 

present and without causing electromagnet interference to other equipment.

Note:

 The Silverline Video Inspection Camera with Color LCD Monitor conforms to all applicable 

EMC standards. However, the possibility of it causing interference in other devices cannot be 

precluded.

Product Familiarisation

Intended Use

Video inspection camera for inspecting hard-to-reach places in lofts, buildings, or for automotive 

work. Flexible waterproof camera cable with included accessories: magnet, mirror, and hook. The 

camera features brightness-adjustable LED lights around the lens. The LCD monitor handset is 

lightweight and compact with 2x digital zoom, powered by 4 x AA batteries/cells (included).

Unpacking Your Tool

•  Carefully unpack and inspect your tool. Familiarise yourself with all its features and functions
•  Ensure that all parts of the tool are present and in good condition
•  If any parts are missing or damaged, have such parts replaced before attempting to use this tool

Before Use

Battery/cell installation

Note:

 This tool requires 4 x AA batteries/cells (included). The battery/cell compartment is on the rear 

of the device behind the LCD Screen (5).
1.  Remove the Battery/Cell Compartment Cover (13) (Fig. I)
2.  Install batteries/cells correctly, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals on the 

batteries/cells match up with the device terminals (Fig. I)

3.  Refit the cover
4.  The device is ready to use

Note: 

In the top corner of the LCD Screen is the  

  icon, which shows the battery charge status. 

When the battery becomes empty, it will be time to change the batteries. Replace all of the batteries 

at the same time.
