5 Commissioning
The input (Zeroing/Configuration) should never be operated open to avoid
potential interferences.
After mounting tape and sensor and after complete wiring, the system is
ready for use. Alignment of sensor and tape was carried out by the manu-
facturer.
The configuration process is dependent on the output circuit:
MSA510/1 with RS485 output circuit (and with optional SIKONETZ3-
protocol)
The Zeroing/Configuration input is used to distinguish between "Service
Mode" and "SIKONETZ3" protocol. The distinction occurs only when the
operating voltage is switched on and is controlled via the assignment of the
"Zeroing/Configuration" input at the time when the unit is switched on:
