Preparation For Commissioning
Confirm communication status

Unplug the car from the charger before troubleshooting.

Power cycle the charger by turning the circuit breaker OFF then back ON.

Test the network. Ask the homeowner to connect a Wi-Fi enabled device to the Wi-Fi network that they are using
for the charger and:

Access any web page, i.e., Google.com

Ask customer to search for something and wait for results.

IF
Search failed - the network is not communicating.

THEN
Reboot the router.

IF
Search is successful, the router is communicating.

THEN
Ping the VersiCharge using the IP address.

Find the IP address. Ask the homeowner to download the free smartphone app

to locate IP addresses.

Ping a device by accessing the Command Prompt on a computer that is connected
to the network,

Insert
ping
space and the IP address;

Press Enter. The computer will display device response information.

Search for command prompt.

Ping the device

Device does not return a ping. It is either (1) not powered up or (2) not communicating with the Wi-Fi network.

Review the power and communication status of each device.
