4.21 Additional Dialing Information
4.21.1 Making Emergency Calls

The Siemens SX56 Wireless PDA Phone is loaded at the factory with the US
emergency number
911
. This number can be used to make an emergency call
in the US, with or without a SIM card inserted, if your phone is connected to a
wireless network.

Some mobile phone service providers may require that a SIM card is inserted,
and in some cases that the PIN has been entered as well.
4.21.2 Making International Calls

Tap and hold the 0 key until the + sign appears. The
+
replaces the international
prefix of the country from where you are calling.

Enter the full phone number you want to dial. It includes the country code, area
code (
without the leading zero
) and phone number.
