Check box Loose configuration
The main purpose of this option is to ignore unexpected errors during the configuration
phase. The configuration of the node is always completed even when a configuration error
occurs.
This option only affects the configuration phase after startup or after resetting the bus or
node. The status of a node is read by the master during the configuration phase, although it
is ignored. In this way, the master can complete the configuration with devices that reject
incoming messages randomly or with devices that communicate differently, contrary to the
definition in their EDS file.
When a node does not support one of the mandatory objects 1000, 1018.01, 1018.02,
1018.03, this check box is always selected and cannot be cleared.
•
Check box Disable this node temporarily
You have configured a series of nodes in the TIA Portal, but one node does not physically
exist in the CAN network. To work with the "reduced" network, you can temporarily disable
one or more nodes. Such a CANopen node with its entire configuration remains in the project
but is
not
downloaded to the PN/CAN LINK. The node
does not exist
in the configuration that
is used by the PN/CAN LINK. No errors or warnings are generated by the PN/CAN LINK.
Under "CANopen Slave > Diagnostics"
This menu is new for PN/CAN LINK V2.0 in "CANopen Slave" mode.
•
Check box Enable additional diagnostics alarms
When you disable this option, the device does not send diagnostic alarms related to the
operating mode (CANopen Manager, CANopen Slave and CAN transparent). Both error LEDs
remain off.
•
Check box Block Error passive alarm
When you select this option, the error passive state of the CAN bus is not reported as an
alarm in the diagnostic buffer. The error LED remains off.
(ISO 11898 CAN Layer 2 device: If one of the error counters is above 127, the device goes
into the "Error Passive" state of the CAN bus. The next error is signaled by a "Passive Error
Flag", which consists of 6 recessive bits. This signal does not destroy any other
communication on the bus. The device is fully operational unless an error counter exceeds
255 and the device goes into the "Bus Off" state.)
Under "CAN transparent > Diagnostics"
This menu is new for PN/CAN LINK V2.0 in "CAN transparent" mode.
•
Check box Enable additional diagnostics alarms
When you disable this option, the device does not send diagnostic alarms related to the
operating mode (CANopen Manager, CANopen Slave and CAN transparent). Both error LEDs
remain off.
