RTC

Real time clock

Remote module

In the case of decentralized design, the host module is implemented on the
computer unit side and the remote module on the operating unit side. The
input/output data is transmitted between these two modules.

SCSI interface

Small Computer System Interface. Interface for connecting SCSI devices (for
example, hard disks, CD-ROM drives)

SETUP (BIOS Setup)

A program which defines information about the device configuration. The device
configuration of the SIMATIC PC is preset. Changes have to be made when a
memory expansion module, new modules or drives have to be activated.
