Acyclic data traffic

In addition to cyclic data traffic, acyclic data can be transferred, e.g.

Parameters

Diagnostic information

Commands

Data transfer takes place in parallel with cyclic data traffic.
You can use acyclic data traffic by means of the following methods:

SIMATIC S7 CPUs contain system function blocks (e.g. RDREC, WRREC, ...). With these, the

CPUs can read and write the data sets individually, and read the alarm messages.

Any PROFINET supervisor can read and write data sets.

Any other PROFINET controller can read and write data sets.

Definition of data sets

You can find a description of the data sets under Modbus register for the 3WA air circuit

breaker (

https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109794278

)

In addition to the existing data sets, the I&M0 to I&M4 data sets for identification and

maintenance of the circuit breakers/modules according to the PROFINET standard were

implemented.

I&M device identification

These data sets contain the I&M information according to the PROFINET standard

IEC 61158-6-10 and are used for unique identification of a 3WA circuit breaker.

Addressing the I&M data sets

Reading the I&M0 data set

Addressing the slot

For the 3WA air circuit breaker

Slot "X1":

Slot number 1

Subslot 1

For the COM190 communication module

Slot "0":

Slot number 0

Subslot 1, 0x8000, 0x8001 and 0x8002

Reading of data sets I&M1 to I&M4 is possible via both slots.
Writing of data sets I&M1 to I&M4 is only permitted via slot 0 subslot 1.
