3.3 Important notes on using the device

External power supply

•

Use only an external power supply that complies with IEC/EN 61010-1 or IEC/EN 61010-2-

201.

•

The output voltage of the external power supply must not exceed 30 VDC.

•

The output of the external power supply must be short-circuit proof.

The external power supply for the CIM must meet the requirements for Safety Extra-Low

Voltage (SELV).

Note the information in this section and in the installation and operating instructions from

the manufacturer of the power supply.

WARNING

The equipment is designed for operation with Safety Extra-Low Voltage (SELV).
This means that only SELV complying with IEC/EN61010-1 must be connected to the power

supply terminals.
If the equipment is connected to a redundant power supply (two separate power supplies),

both must meet these requirements.
