For the variant 6DL3100–8AC the GSD file is called SIxx80A3.GSG or
SIxx80A3.GSE (xx = version, e.g. 01).
Module Supply
The module supply of the AddFEM is designed for the nominal voltage of
24 V DC. The typical wattage amounts to 20 W. Voltage dips of up to 10 ms are
overwritten. The making current is limited to 3 A.
The 24 V DC load supply for the analog outputs is supplied by the AddFEM. The
24 V DC load supply for the digital outputs must be generated externally and fed
via the X7 connector.
Structure
The AddFEM housing consists of stainless steel and is prepared for screw as well
as for DIN rail mounting.
The signal states of the digital inputs and outputs are indicated via signal LEDs.
The operating and error status of the AddFEM are indicated by 12 separate LEDs.
The operating status is set via a key–operated switch and a slide switch.
There are 8 connectors with 10 pins each (total of 80 I/O pins) on the front of the
AddFEM. These can be used to connect the process input and output signals.
Approvals
In addition to a CE approval the AddFEM also has a UL/CSA certification.

Applications of the variants 6DL3100–8AC
The extension of the AddFEM with DPV1 services is particularly suitable to supply
front end functions (FEF) with parameter data as required (acyclically). With this
extension configuration changes can also be carried out during running operation
(Configuration in RUN). CiR allows the AddFEM to be reparameterized in order, for
example, to activate unused channels or to reparameterize channels already used
for spare–part applications when a sensor with a different specification is used. It is
furthermore possible to signals alarms with an implicit acknowledgment mecha-
nism. This functionality can be used by front–end functions.
PROFIBUS DPV1
The variant 6DL3100–8AC (DPV1 slave) supports DPV1 services in accordance
with IEC 61158, Part 3–6. The DP master must naturally also fulfill these require-
ments (refer to the documentation of the DP master).
