2.1 Product package
The SIMATIC MV326 optical handheld reader (article number 6GF3326-0HT01) is supplied
with the following components:

• Battery
• Charging station with USB interface and Bluetooth wireless interface
• USB connecting cable (standard USB ↔ micro USB)
2.2 Characteristics and areas of application
Due to the following characteristics, the optical handheld reader is also suitable for
demanding applications.

The super fast and extremely durable device works with a high-performance scan engine
for recognition of all 1D and 2D barcodes, as well as barcodes of individual postal services.
• With its patented dual- field optics, both wide (≤ 40 cm) and very small (≥ 3 cm) barcodes
can be read.
• With the patented glare control technology, codes on shining surfaces can be reliably
detected.
• The long-life batteries of the device with their fast triggering mechanism measure the
battery charge level precisely and show the remaining lifetime of the battery in a 4 LED
level display at the press of a button.
• The charging station is available with an integrated Bluetooth modem.
• The housing, which is resistant to disinfectants and has degree of protection IP65,
prevents damage to plastic parts and protects the electronics and optics.
