CONFIGURATION AND OPERATION
8.1.3
Perform configuration
1. Switch on the vehicle ignition and wait for the warning to appear.
2. Press CTRL+ALT+F2. A command line is displayed.
NOTE!
The German keyboard layout is used by default (QWERTZ), but you can change this in
the configuration menu.
3. Enter the user name "admin" plus the associated password.
For details of the password, please contact the manufacturer's service depart-
ment.
4. Run the
PRODUCT_PERMANENT
command and enter the associated password.
This will save the configuration (that you are about to create) on the evaluation
unit.
5. Run the
PRODUCT_CONFIGURE
command.
The configuration screen is displayed.
The status indicator on the top right shows the configuration status.

6. Click the button labeled "
CLICK HERE
" to confirm the message on the left-hand side.
7. Use the dropdown menu on the top left to set the language.
8. Go to the
QUICK SETTING
dropdown menu item and choose either of the two preconfi
-
guration options (
HARSH
: recommended for outdoor use,
MODERATE
: not recommen-
ded for use under real-life conditions, only for surroundings with optimum environ-
mental conditions).
9. Specify the height and installation angle of the sensor head.
10. Go to the
ADVANCED SETTING
dropdown menu item to define further parameters.
