5.3. DEMOUNTING
1 Following the instructions given in the
tyre changer manual, move the arm
into the working position and move
the mounting/demounting tool to the
rim edge. (fig. 30a)
2 Loosen the roller lock wheel (see Fig.
31a) and move the roller inwards near
the rim edge (see Fig. 31b).
Tighten the wheel to lock the roller
in this position.
3 Move the presser roller near the head and
against the rim edge (see Fig. 31b), then push
the lever down to open the gap necessary to
insert the lever between the tool and the tyre
(Fig. 32).
The handling arms pose a potential crushing risk for the hands.
Always work with extreme caution.
4 Remove the presser roller.
5 Load the tire bead on the turret (fig.33c), press the pedal rotation of the tire changer
(Fig. 33a) and remove the first bead (Fig. 33b).
