If you cannot determine a definite cause for the malfunction, it is recommended to replace the internal assembly. (Refer to )
SHIMANO gear change support mechanism utilizes some portion of pedaling force at down shifting. The result is a quick and precise downshift
with very light feeling on both mechanical and DI2 version of the hub.
Pedaling force is applied against the sleeve to help overcome sleeve return pressure and execute the shift.
