Section 4 • SERVICE
SERVICE REQUIREMENTS
DAILY
Engine oil level.
Engine coolant level.
Never add ETHER to fuel to start cold
engine. Ether WILL damage small diesel
engines.
Do not exceed 50% of anti-freeze in the
coolant. More anti-freeze will damage small
diesel engines.
Always premix the correct coolant (50-50)
before adding to cooling system.
Hydraulic fluid reservoir level.
Hydraulic fluid filter condition.
There is a gauge on the filter
which indicates the service-
ability of the filter. When the
indicator gets near or reaches
the red zone, the filter should
be changed.
Wheel bearing reservoir fluid
level.
If it is necessary to add fluid,
use SAE-90 Hypoid gear oil.
Tire condition, damage and wear.

WEEKLY
Perform daily inspection requirements.
Check gearbox oil level.
There is a removable plug on the side of the
gear box. Remove the plug. Gear oil should
be level with the bottom edge of the open-
ing.
Inspect payout brake pads.
The pads should be
replaced before the
rivets make contact
with the disc.
Inspect axle assembly and springs for align-
ment, broken or damaged spring leaves.
Check battery electrolyte level. Replenish as
required.
Coat system pressure control with marine
grade Neverseize as required to ensure ease
of movement.
