HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
Absolute cleanliness of the hydraulic system is a
must! The smallest amount of foreign material in
the system can cause extensive damage to the
pump, motor or
valves.
Sherman &
Reilly
has taken
every precaution to
assure that each
component and fit-
ting was thorough-
ly cleaned and the
system purged
before this
machine was deliv-
ered. Therefore,
maintenance of the
system should be
carried out with
extreme care.
Adding Hydraulic Oil
Wipe all dirt and grime from around reservoir
filler cap before removing.
Component Replacement
When replacing hoses, fit-
tings or other components,
clean thoroughly and then
assemble carefully.
The hydraulic fluid and filter should be
changed after the first 25 hours of operation,
and every 50 hours or six months, whichever
occurs first thereafter.
Use ISO grade hydraulic oil, Kendall Hyken
Golden MV or equivalent.

Service the engine according to the instruc-
tions in the engine manufacturer’s manual.
Keep all fluids at their proper level.
