BEFORE FIRST USE

The non-stick surface inside the frypan must be cleaned and conditioned before
using the frypan.

Always insure the temperature controller is unplugged from the frypan before cleaning and
maintenance. Wash the frypan and lid in warm soapy water, rinse with clean water. Dry
thoroughly, ensuring the power inlet where the probe attaches is completely dry before use.

Caution:

Never immerse the temperature control or its cord or plug into water or any other

liquid.

Lightly wipe a teaspoon of cooking oil over the entire interior surface with a paper towel or soft

cloth. Do not use shortening or butter. Let the oil remain on the surface. Your frypan is now
ready for use.

Glass Lid & Knob Assembly

Mount the cool touch knob at the top & middle of the glass lid. Insert the affixing screw from
inside the glass lid through the mounting hole and screw the knob securely in place. Do not
over tighten.

Cooking Tools to Use

Plastic, rubber and wooden cooking tools are recommended for use on the non-stick surface.

Two long-handled wooden spoons are recommended for stir-frying. Smooth-edged metal
cooking tools may be used with care.
Do not use sharp-edged cooking tools (knives, forks, food choppers) as they could scratch the

non-stick surface. Minor scratching will only affect the appearance of the non-stick surface, it
will not harm its non-stick qualities or the food cooked in the electric frypan.

Caution - Hot surface

Parts of the appliance become very hot during operation. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use
handles for lifting and carrying the frypan. Remove the glass lid by its cool touch knob. Be very
careful when moving the frypan if it contains hot liquid. Let cool before pouring out. Make sure

that the appliance is switched off, unplugged and sufficiently cooled before cleaning or storage.

Intended Use

The electric frypan is intended for household use only. Do not use this appliance for anything
other than its intended use. Use your frypan only for the cooking tasks described in this
