PROTECTIVE FUNCTIONS
The air conditioning unit is equipped with various protective functions.
1. Frost protection function:
In cooling, dehumidification and energy saver mode the device is automatically put in a
protection status if the temperature in the air hose is too low. Once the temperature rises
again
the
device
automatically
starts
operating
normally
again.
2. Overflow protection function:
Once the water tank is full the “WATER FULL” indicator on the operating panel lights up.
Please empty the water tank
you will find the associated instructions in the
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
– EMPTYING THE WATER TANK section.
3. Automatic defrosting (available on cooling models):
The device is equipped with an automated defrost function.
4. Compressor protection function
To increase the compressor’s life cycle the compressor is equipped with a three-minute
delayed start function after the compressors has been switched off
this means that if the
device is switched off and immediately switched on again the compressor will only start back
up after three minutes.
The device “takes its time” to completely power down the
compressor.
